How to Connect the Sally x402 MCP to an LLM Agent

Getting Started

In this tutorial, we use the OKX Wallet extension on the browser. Follow these steps:

1. Set Up Your OKX Wallet

  • Download and install OKX Wallet extension from the Chrome Web Store.

  • Create a new wallet or import an existing one using your seed phrase, private key, or hardware wallet such as Keystone.

  • The next step is to deposit some Ethereum tokens via the Base network and USDC tokens into your OKX Wallet.

2. Access the Smithery.ai page

To connect Smithery.ai with Sally AI's MCP, log in to both platforms and go to the integration settings on Smithery.ai. After authorization, Smithery.ai will synchronize with Sally AI's MCP, enabling automated content creation and workflow management between the platforms. This connection enhances AI-driven task orchestration, real-time data sharing, and centralized asset management, boosting team efficiency and collaboration.

  • In the search bar, type "sally" and select sally-ai-mcp.

  • Then click the Configure button located on the right side.

  • A sign-in pop-up will appear. You can log in using a GitHub or Google account. Here, select 'Continue with Google.'

  • After logging in with your Google account, click the Configure button again. We will connect our wallet so that we can use MCP Sally.

  • After clicking, a pop-up input box menu will appear. Here, we need the private key from our wallet.

  • To obtain the private key, we must retrieve it from the OKX wallet. Click on the Settings section.

  • In the Wallet Security section, select and click Backups.

  • Then select the Private Key menu. Then click on our account.

  • Then search for the Base network.

  • Then click the Copy button.

  • Then, paste your private key into the Connect sally-api-mcp input box and click Save Configuration.

  • Then, click on the text 'Get URL with keys' instead.

  • And click the Generate URL button.

  • Then, the message "Connection URL Ready!" will appear. Copy the link by clicking the copy button. Its purpose is to connect Sally MCP with the LLM Agent.

3. How to connect Sally MCP with Manus AI

Now, open the Manus AI page. Here, we will try to connect the URL from MCP Sally that we copied from Smithery to Manus AI.

  • Click the "Connect Apps" button and select "Add connections."

  • Then, in the Custom MCP menu, click the Direct Configuration button.

  • Next, input the server name, paste the URL copied from Smithery.ai into the Server URL field, and then click Save.

  • Then it will appear as shown in the image below. We have completed connecting MCP Sally to Manus AI.

  • We will now test Manus AI using its MCP, Sally, as the core system.

  • Now, in the chatbox, you can prompt anything by starting with the words “Ask Sally.” Then, simply ask your question. An example image below shows: ask Sally, what is HbA1C?

  • Then, the prompting results will be shown together with the process from MCP Sally.
